Cat memorial gift ideas
Cats make themselves part of the furniture: the chair, the windowsill, the sunny patch on the bed. Losing one leaves those places empty, and the best cat memorial gifts fill them gently. Here are ideas that suit cats and the people who loved them.
Remember the spot they owned
A small framed photo on the windowsill they watched birds from, a cushion printed with their picture, or a plant where the food bowl used to be: gifts that live in the cat’s own spots feel natural rather than sad.
A shirt with the cat’s face
Cat people are used to cat shirts; a shirt with THEIR cat on it is different. Upload one photo and we compose it into the look you choose, from a sunny window with a knitted blanket to a starry night sky, with the cat’s name underneath. Black cats look striking on the starry-night look; orange and tabby cats glow on the pale sky.
A tee is $39 and a crewneck sweatshirt $49, with free U.S. shipping. You see the design with the cat’s face and name before you buy.
Choosing the photo
Cats are hard to photograph, so the best picture is usually the one that simply looks like them. For a printed keepsake, look for:
- Eyes in focus: a slightly blurry body is fine, blurry eyes are not.
- Daylight rather than flash, which turns cat eyes green or white.
- The whole head in the frame, ears included.
- Just the one cat, so the keepsake is clearly about them.
Other ideas
- A collar and tag in a small shadow box.
- A donation to a cat rescue in the cat’s name.
- A photo book of their best naps.
- A catnip or cat-grass plant for the garden, if they were an outdoor cat.
Questions
Can you make a shirt from an old phone photo of a cat?
Usually, yes. A clear, well-lit photo where the eyes are sharp works best; the designer shows the result before you pay.
Do you make cat shirts for cats that are still alive?
Yes. Most looks work as a tribute; pick a top line like "Best Friend" or "Family" instead of "In Loving Memory".
